Privacy Policy
Peakmere Land Ltd ("Peakmere", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information and being straight with you about how we use it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
Peakmere Land Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17165366. Our registered office is 477a, Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, England, S40 3AD. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. If you have any questions, contact us at info@peakmere.co.uk or 07970 292185.
Information you give us
When you contact us, request an appraisal, or work with us, we may collect your name, address, email address, phone number, details about your land, and any other information you choose to share. We use this to respond to you, assess your land's development potential, provide our services, and keep in touch about your site.
Information we collect from public sources
As part of identifying land with development potential, we research sites using publicly available sources, principally HM Land Registry, local authority planning records, and Ordnance Survey mapping. This research can include the names and addresses of registered landowners. We use this information for one purpose: to write to landowners whose land we believe may have development potential. If you've received a letter from us, this is how we found you. Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest, and you can ask us to stop contacting you or to delete your details at any time by using the contact details above. We will do so promptly.
Information collected through our website
Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which collects standard analytics information such as pages visited and general location, and uses cookies for site functionality and performance. You can manage cookies through the banner on our site and your browser settings. We don't use this information to identify individuals.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where necessary to provide our services: with our development partners who fund and support the planning process, with professional advisers such as planning consultants, architects and solicitors working on your site, and with service providers such as our website host and email provider. Anyone we share information with is required to protect it. If our business is ever sold or restructured, your information may transfer as part of that, under the same protections.
How long we keep it
If we work together, we keep your information for the duration of our relationship and for six years afterwards, in line with legal and contractual record keeping requirements. If we write to you and you tell us you're not interested, we'll keep a minimal record of your name and address solely to make sure we don't contact you again, unless you ask us to erase everything.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our use of it (including for direct marketing, where your objection is absolute), restrict how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@peakmere.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we'd welcome the chance to resolve it with you directly first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.
